approved accessory. it serves 2 purposes, one the obvious and aircleaner, most importanty it is a spark/flame arrestor. yo've seen burnt firewalls on model A's from a carb backfire with a flame, causing burnt paint and wires, right? this mesh filter will prevent that. Second best Model A option next to the brake floaters! check them as well.
